Yuzvendra Chahal continued his wicket-taking form in the One-Day Cup, England’s List A tournament, nabbing three for Northamptonshire against Somerset on Sunday.
Chahal’s first wicket was Archie Vaughn before he got two tailenders in Jack Leach and Jake Ball. He ended the innings with figures three for 35 as Somerset was bundled out for 185 in 47 overs.
The leg-spinner now has 15 wickets in six games in the tournament and is fourth in the list of highest wicket-takers.
Northamptonshire cantered to the target in 30 overs and won by seven wickets.
Ashutosh Sharma was also on the winning side on Sunday as Hampshire thumped Sussex by 51 runs, but the all-rounder misfired yet again with the bat.
He was dismissed by Ollie Robinson for a paltry run-a-ball 12 despite his team posting a towering 383 runs after batting first.
Ashutosh did not get to bowl as Sussex was cleaned well before target.
