Indian handset maker Lava was expected to enter the UK smartphone market in Q1 2026. That didn’t happen, but we now know Lava will make its UK debut soon, as it has teased a new smartphone for the UK market.
The smartphone in question is the Lava Agni 4N, which hasn’t been launched yet in India either. The brand hasn’t divulged any specs or features of the Agni 4N; however, the teaser it posted on X suggests its camera island on the rear will look identical to the Agni 4‘s, which was introduced in India last November.
The teaser image also says that the Agni 4N “does what SAM can’t.” Well, judging by Lava UK’s previous X posts, SAM here is likely a reference to Samsung.
The Indian handset maker took multiple digs at Samsung for launching smartphones that look identical to the previous models, pre-loaded apps, plastic build, slow processing, and slow charging speeds. Even the UK branch’s X bio says, “Escape the SAMe cycle.” It will be interesting to see how Lava addresses all of this with the Agni 4N.
