Chandigarh: Sarangpur police arrested three persons in separate operations Wednesday, recovering 12 grams of heroin from one accused and two knives from two others. All three were produced before a court Thursday and sent to 14-day judicial custody.Vishal (24) and Bablu (26), both residents of Dhanas, were caught with a knife each. Separate cases under the Arms Act were registered against them.Police said Vishal is involved in an earlier robbery case registered at Sector 26 police station, while Bablu has six previous cases, including theft and snatching.In a separate operation, police arrested Abhishek alias Kaka (25) of EWS Colony, Dhanas, and recovered 12.07 gm of heroin from his possession. A case under the NDPS Act was registered against him.During preliminary questioning, Abhishek allegedly told police that he procured heroin from Ludhiana and Morinda and supplied it in parts of Chandigarh and Mohali. He also claimed that some of his customers were students.Police said further investigations are under way to trace the source of the contraband and identify others linked to the alleged drug network
