Fire breaks out at Kalol ONGC plant, no injuries reported

Ahmedabad: A fire that broke out at an Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) installation in Kalol-Mansa area of Gandhinagar district on Thursday was brought under control with no injuries reported, the state-run company said.Fire and emergency response teams were deployed and the blaze was extinguished, ONGC said. Preliminary information suggested that the fire was caused by the bursting of a boiler, Kalol mamlatdar Navin Nayi told the media.“No injury or harm to any personnel has been reported. The situation is fully under control, and normal production operations have been completely restored,” the company said in a statement.ONGC said its fire and emergency response teams responded immediately to the incident and production operations had since resumed.The company said it prioritises the safety of its personnel, assets and neighbouring communities and maintains emergency-response preparedness across its operational locations.With agency inputs
