Concerns have been raised over emergency healthcare services after a video allegedly showing ambulance staff using a hammer to open an oxygen cylinder surfaced online. The incident is said to have taken place in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad district and has led to criticism about the condition and preparedness of medical equipment in government ambulances.
According to reports shared online, the patient was being transported in an ambulance that had an oxygen cylinder on board. However, despite the patient’s condition, oxygen could reportedly not be administered because the cylinder’s lock failed to open.
The Video Showed A Desperate Attempt
The footage allegedly shows an ambulance staff member trying to open the oxygen cylinder using a hammer. The person accompanying the patient, who recorded the video, can reportedly be heard expressing anger and concern over the delay in providing oxygen support.
As per the claims made in the video, the ambulance had already been on the road for nearly an hour while the issue remained unresolved. The visuals have raised questions about whether emergency medical equipment is being properly maintained and checked before ambulances are put into service.
The incident has also triggered discussions around training and preparedness in emergency situations, especially when critical patients depend on life-saving equipment.
Social Media Users Question Accountability
The video prompted many users to share their views on the alleged incident, with several highlighting concerns about patient safety.
