Engine Scare In Delhi

Tail Strike Earlier In Bengaluru
Earlier in the day, another Air India flight operating from Delhi to Bengaluru suffered a tail-strike incident while landing at Kempegowda International Airport. Flight AI2651 completed landing safely and all passengers and crew disembarked normally.
According to the airline, the aircraft encountered wake turbulence during descent. Wake turbulence refers to disturbed air generated by another aircraft ahead and can affect the stability of planes during approach or take-off.
The turbulence reportedly caused the aircraft’s tail section to scrape the runway moments before touchdown-an aviation incident known as a tail strike. Such incidents can potentially damage the rear fuselage and require mandatory technical inspections before the aircraft can resume operations.
Following the incident, Air India grounded the aircraft for checks and cancelled the return Bengaluru-Delhi flight AI2652.
The back-to-back incidents involving Air India aircraft in a single day are likely to draw attention from aviation authorities amid increasing focus on operational safety and aircraft maintenance standards.
