Times News NetworkKanpur: A 40-year-old DCM driver died after his vehicle rammed into a dumper parked by the roadside from behind on the Yashoda Nagar highway in Kanpur late on Sunday night.Police said driver Karan Bahadur was seriously injured and was admitted to Lala Lajpat Rai (LLR) Hospital, where he died during treatment at around 11 am on Monday. Naubasta police station personnel reached the spot after receiving information and sent the body for postmortem. The matter is being investigated.The deceased was returning to Gwalior after unloading goods in Lucknow. He was identified as Karan Bahadur, a resident of Chaumto village in the Atera police station area of Bhind district. He was a DCM driver by profession.He is survived by his wife Preeti, three sons and a daughter. His younger brother Radha Charan said that on Sunday after unloading goods in Lucknow, Karan was returning to Gwalior. Late at night, near the Yashoda Nagar highway, his DCM collided with a dumper parked by the roadside.Police station in-charge Bahadur Singh said the DCM had rammed into a dumper parked by the highway from behind.He said the family has been informed, and the body has been sent for postmortem. Further action is being taken.
