CS holds meet, calls for coordination among various departments

Hyderabad: Stating the govt would soon come up with a comprehensive dashboard to provide information on the status, progress, targets and implementation of various state govt programmes, chief secretary Sanjay Jaju said there must be coordination among various departments for the effective implementation of welfare programmes. In addition, a speed cell is being set up to monitor and facilitate the timely achievement of the objectives of these schemes, he said.Speaking at the review meeting with various department heads on Monday, Sanjay Jaju said that T-Fiber connectivity should be extended to all govt offices, including Gram Panchayats across the state. He urged departments to work systematically in line with the goals outlined in the govt’s Vision Document–2047. He instructed the officials to ensure the timely submission of utilisation certificates, reports, and project proposals to the central govt so that the release of central funds is not delayed.The chief secretary also directed officials to constitute committees for the successful conduct of the prestigious Khelo India Games, scheduled to commence in the state from Nov 14. More than 7,000 athletes, officials, and coaches are expected to participate, with competitions in 26 sports disciplines to be held across 11 venues.He said that the CM would soon hold a review meeting with the secretaries to assess the performance of schemes, departmental achievements, targets, progress, the state govt’s financial position, and centrally sponsored schemes. He also directed each department to prepare reports highlighting innovative initiatives and success stories.On the reduction of vehicular pollution within the Core Urban Region Area, he called for expediting the scheme to retrofit diesel-powered auto-rickshaws with electric propulsion systems. Jaju said that due to the impact of El Nino, adequate water availability for paddy cultivation may not be ensured this season, and advised officials to create awareness among farmers about suitable alternative crops.
