Belagavi: A team of officials from the central Rural Development Ministry visited Belagavi district on Thursday to review the implementation of the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (VB-G RAM G) scheme and assess the progress of rural development initiatives.The team later took part in an Employment Day programme at Hanchinal village in Hukkeri taluk to create awareness among labourers and villagers and gather feedback on the scheme’s implementation and benefits.The delegation, comprising deputy director general Altaf Hussain Haji, undersecretary Anil Kumar K C and assistant director Baladev Kumar Verma, directed district officials to ensure effective implementation of the scheme.During the visit, the officials released VB-G RAM G pamphlets, distributed work order letters to labourers and inaugurated a plantation drive by planting saplings.They also visited houses built under the rural housing scheme, inspected works under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, and toured the Shramjeevi Vanadhan Vikas Kendra run by women from National Rural Livelihood Mission self-help groups, where they reviewed local handicraft activities.
