HYDERABAD: City Police arrested Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and former MLA Balka Suman at BRS Bhavan in Hyderabad on Saturday afternoon for allegedly making inflammatory statements. This happened while he was addressing party workers at a recent meeting in the city.A case was booked under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Prevention of Damage to Public Property (PDPP) Act by Nampally police on Wednesday based on the complaint of a Singareni worker regarding the statements of Suman allegedly asking party workers to damage public property.On Saturday, police arrested Suman at BRS Bhavan in Banjara Hills shortly after he addressed the media regarding the controversial statements he had made in a party workers meeting in Hyderabad on Tuesday.BRS workers tried to block police from shifting Suman to the police station. But the cops managed to convince the party workers to move away and arrested Suman. He was shifted to Nampally Police Station.Police said he will be produced before the magistrate for judicial remand after completing arrest formalities.
