Avore has officially entered the Indian electric motorcycle market with the launch of the all-new EX1 and EX2. The new electric bikes focus on offering a balance of performance, range and technology, while the top-spec EX2 S adds a unique manual gearbox for riders who still want the feel of a traditional motorcycle.
How Much Does It Cost?
The Avore EX1 range has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 1,24,999 (ex-showroom) for the first 10,000 customers. Once the introductory offer ends, the price will increase to Rs 1,34,999 (ex-showroom). The Avore EX2 is priced at Rs 1,45,999, while the top-spec EX2 S is priced at Rs 1,69,999 (both prices ex-showroom).

Battery And Performance
The EX1 gets a 3.24kWh battery pack paired with a 10.5kW electric motor and a 750W charger. It offers a claimed range of 160km, a top speed of 100kmph, and can sprint from 0 to 40kmph in 3.2 seconds. Riders also get four riding modes to choose from.
The EX2 moves up to a 5kWh battery pack while retaining the same 10.5kW motor. It delivers a claimed range of 255km, a top speed of 100kmph, and the same 3.2-second 0-40kmph acceleration. The battery can be charged from 20 to 80% in just 2 hours using the built-in 1,500W charger.
The range-topping EX2 S takes performance a step further with a higher 114kmph top speed, quicker 2.8-second 0-40kmph acceleration, six riding modes, and a unique simulated gearbox that should give riders the feel of riding a conventional geared motorcycle.

Underpinnings
The Avore EX1 and EX2 come with conventional telescopic fork, and a rear monoshock. Both the EX1 and EX2 models use a chain drive system, while the top-spec EX2 S comes with a modern belt drive system. There are disc brakes at both ends on all the models along with CBS (combined braking system) for a safer braking experience.

The Avore EX1 and EX2 make a strong first impression with their competitive pricing, long claimed range and extensive feature list. However, the biggest highlight is undoubtedly the EX2 S and its switchable manual gearbox, something we haven’t seen on an electric motorcycle in India before. If Avore can deliver on its claimed performance and range figures in the real world, the EX range could become a compelling alternative to other electric motorcycles in this price segment.
