Amid the Ram Temple donaton theft row in Ayodhya, the search committee of the Trust, constituted to appoint the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), held its first meeting on Saturday, finalising the eligibility criteria and selection process for the post.
According to officials, the committee decided that applications for the CEO position will be accepted until July 18. An official email ID is being created through which interested candidates can submit their applications.
The three-member search committee comprises retired Justice Pramod Kohli, Lieutenant General (Retd.) Vishnukant Chaturvedi and former Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust chairman Suresh Haware. During the meeting, the members discussed the qualifications, experience and selection procedure for the appointment.
As per the eligibility criteria, applicants must be graduates and should have at least 20 years of experience in administration or finance. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in temple management. The committee has also specified that the applicant must belong to the Hindu faith.
After the application deadline, the committee will scrutinise the applications and hold interactions with shortlisted candidates before making its recommendation for the appointment.
SELECTION TO BE DONE FOR 3 YEAR TENURE
Officials said the selected candidate will initially be appointed for a period of three years and will be required to reside in Ayodhya during the tenure. The committee is aiming to complete the selection process within one month.
To facilitate the recruitment process, the committee also decided to appoint a secretary who will assist in coordinating the selection procedure and handling administrative work related to the appointment.
The CEO will be responsible for overseeing the administrative and operational functioning of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, which manages the affairs of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
The formation of the search committee and the initiation of the recruitment process mark a significant step towards appointing a full-time chief executive to oversee the trust’s expanding administrative responsibilities following the consecration of the Ram Temple and the growing number of devotees visiting the temple complex.
