The Ather Rizta, the family-oriented electric scooter from the Bengaluru based two-wheeler manufacturer, has achieved the 3 lakh-unit sales milestone within two years of its launch. Launched in April 2024, it was the brand’s first dedicated family scooter, and has played a pivotal role in expanding Ather’s reach across newer markets and customer segments.
The e-scooter crossed the 2 lakh sales milestone in December 2025 and added the next 1 lakh units in just five months. Ather has consistently rolled out software upgrades for the Rizta including a touchscreen interface via an over-the-air (OTA) update through its proprietary Atherstack 7. Currently, the Rizta lineup is available in total 20 variants, priced from Rs 1,17,047 to Rs 1,79,546 (ex-showroom).

Strong Demand Across States
Over the past two years, the Ather Rizta has played a significant role in expanding Ather’s presence beyond Southern India. According to Vahan and Telangana Vehicle Online Sales data, Ather’s market share grew 4X in states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha. The company’s market share increased from 4.1% in Q1 FY25 to 17.3% in Q4 FY26. Northern states including Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh also saw market share grow over 3X during the same period.
Target Customers & Key Features
Nearly 70% of Rizta customers are families with children, highlighting the scooter’s strong appeal for everyday family usage. Built with a focus on comfort and practicality, the Ather Rizta features a large seat, spacious floorboard, and 56 litres of total storage, including 34 litres of under-seat storage and a 22-litre frunk. The scooter also equipped with advanced safety and connected features such as SkidControl™, theft alerts and tow alerts.

Additionally, the Rizta has played a crucial role in expanding our market share in ‘middle India’ by 4X since its launch in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha. In FY ’26 the Rizta constituted about 76% of our portfolio and continues to lead our growth.”
