Kolkata: Cricket seems to run in the Sooryavanshi family really fast!As elder brother Vaibhav goes through an emotional roller-coaster ride a day before his eagerly anticipated India senior debut miles away in Belfast, younger brother Ashirvad continues to give his now world-famous sibling enough reasons to celebrate feats which are all in the family.Barely 10 days after his maiden century batting for Cricket Academy Tajpur, the right-handed youngster followed it up with a blistering daddy hundred in a local match in Samastipur, Bihar.Following in Vaibhav’s footsteps, Ashirvad slammed a 119-ball 168 with 19 fours and 6 sixes, striking at an aggressive rate of 141.18.The news of the 10-year-old’s remarkable knock was posted on social media by Vaibhav. Sharing a screenshot of the scoreboard on ‘X’, along with a picture of his little brother as his ‘Instagram’ story, the southpaw applauded Ashirvad for his latest achievement.Vaibhav wrote, “Proud of you, my little brother. Keep shining and making us proud every day” with a heart emoji.Playing for Rishabh XI against Raushan XI, Ashirvad’s exploits guided his side to a massive total of 311 for the loss of seven wickets in a 40-over game.The 10-year-old had scored 103 runs off 87 balls with 20 fours and a six at a strike rate of 118.39 few days back, which was also shared by Vaibhav when he was in Sri Lanka playing for India A in the tri-nation series.While both brothers are openers, Ashirvad doubles up as a medium-pace all-rounder.After his youngest son’s maiden ton, proud father Sanjeev had expressed happiness in a ‘Facebook’ post, writing, “My younger son Aashirwad Sooryavanshi scored his first century in a practice match today. I request all of you to continue showering your love and blessings on Aashirwad.”
