Chennai: A 28-year-old man escaped from Tiruttani police station on Friday after being arrested in connection with a dispute with a local trader. Police launched a search operation to trace him and initiated an inquiry.Police identified the escaped detainee as Hari, 28. He and Ravi, 33, a sweet vendor from Amrithapuram, were arrested after they were involved in a quarrel over a land dispute on Friday.Tiruttani police brought both men to the police station. After cops left for Ramapuram village to provide security for a temple procession, Hari slipped away from the station and escaped.
