A couple of days ago a usually reliable source of smartphone-related information claimed that OnePlus will be leaving the US and Europe as soon as this week.

Now a new report from a different reliable source, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, confirms the brand’s imminent exit from the aforementioned key markets. But this one adds more details. In 2027, OnePlus will apparently also withdraw from all other markets except China – thus including India, where it’s recently launched the N6 and started teasing a new model in the line earlier today.

Another report confirms OnePlus' imminent withdrawal from the US and Europe

Restructuring is also coming for the other Oppo sub-brand, Realme, which will allegedly exit the Chinese market as part of the same strategy shift that will see OnePlus get out of the US and Europe.

While Oppo and OnePlus still haven’t commented on any of this, with two separate reports from two different sources that have proven reliable in the past, we’d wager this is pretty much a given. Let’s wait and see if the official confirmation comes this week.
