CHENNAI: Additional director general of police (ADGP) A Amalraj, a 1996-batch IPS officer, has been posted as the Chennai city police commissioner. ADGP Abhin Dinesh Modak has been posted as the Crime Branch Criminal Investigation Department (CB-CID) replacing ADGP T S Anbu. Additional chief secretary to the state govt K Manivasan issued the orders on Thursday and directed the officers to assume the charges with immediate effect.
