COIMBATORE: The Karumbukadai police in the city on Monday arrested three men on charges of peddling drugs, including painkiller tablets and ganja.The arrested have been identified as M Mohammed, 21, H Mohammed Asif, 27, of Aathupalam and M Navas, 31, of JJ Nagar. The Karumbukadai police received a tip-off that some men were involved in selling drugs on a vacant plot near Azath Nagar. They rushed to the spot and found three men standing there suspiciously. Upon inquiry, police confirmed that the trio were selling drugs to youths in the locality. They seized 1.4 kg of ganja, 382 painkiller tablets, six syringes and four needles from them. Police registered a case under sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and 123 of the BNS. They were remanded in judicial custody.Police have launched a manhunt to nab another man involved in the crime.
