Ashok Sharma was announced as a replacement for Yudhvir Singh in the India A squad for the ongoing tri-series in Sri Lanka.
BCCI shared in a statement that Yudhvir reported discomfort in his right shoulder while bowling on June 13, after having experienced a similar pain earlier two days earlier.
The statement added that Yudhivir will head to BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) undergo a graduated rehabilitation programme.
Ashok, who is capable of bowling over 150 kmph, was recently part of Gujarat Titans in IPL 2026, playing six games and claiming six wickets.
The 23-year-old has played seven List A games, taking 13 wickets at an economy of 6.69.
