Finding a house in Bengaluru is often described as stressful, with people dealing with high rents, long searches and unexpected requirements from landlords or flatmates. For many newcomers, the process can be both exhausting and unpredictable.

One X (formerly Twitter) user recently shared an experience that highlighted just how unusual house hunting in the city can sometimes get. The post featured a screenshot of a conversation that left many social media users confused and amused.

The Post Showed An Unexpected Exchange

Sharing the screenshot on X, the user wrote, “Blr house hunting is not for the weak.” The image appeared to show a chat between a person searching for accommodation and someone who had listed a flat.

The conversation began with the prospective tenant asking whether a flat in Koramangala was still available.

After confirming that the message had reached the correct account, the person looking for the flat introduced himself.

“Hi my name is Pranav. I am from bombay – looking for a place to move in,” the message read. The discussion then moved to location details, with the house seeker stating that he was in Koramangala.

The Flatmate Requirements Surprised Users

The conversation took an unexpected turn when the person offering the accommodation explained what they were looking for in a flatmate.

According to the screenshot, the individual wrote, “Just being frank” before adding that they were “Looking for kinksters to share flat” and that they were “Mostly a sub so”.

The person also shared details about the property, stating that the entire house was already set up. The message claimed that the rent would be Rs 9,000, including amenities such as a TV, bed and washing machine. The deposit, according to the chat, was equivalent to two months’ rent and could be paid monthly.

Social Media Had Plenty To Say

As the post gained traction, users flooded the comments section with their reactions. “Wtf is a sub? am i living under a rock,” a user said.

Another wrote, “Can someone put this guy behind bars saying Kora? F***ing ridiculous.”

“That’s fine but will u have to participate in kinky activities with them,” a person wrote. “Just move in bro its a good deal,” a different person said.

A comment read, “Kinkster and submissive. What kind of people are living in B’lore.” Someone else simply wrote, “Fabricated.”
