“Even though this evening of May 4 may be setting, a new sunrise has taken place today on the sacred land of Bengal, a dawn that generations have been waiting for. The number of seats won by the BJP is not merely an electoral figure; it is the resounding expression of unwavering faith that has uprooted the politics of fear, appeasement, and violence. From today, a new journey for Bengal’s future begins, one where development, firm trust, and new hopes will move forward together, step by step,” he said.

The Prime Minister also addressed the issue of violence in Bengal and said there should be talk of change and not revenge.
“..Today, when the BJP has won, the focus should be on change, not revenge. The focus should be on the future, not fear. I appeal to the workers of all political parties: let’s end this endless cycle of violence once and for all,” he said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also assured women in Bengal of a safer environment, promised greater employment opportunities for the youth, and emphasised that migration would be curbed.
