DCC bank recruitment: RTI activist threatens legal action over

Belagavi: RTI activist Bhimappa Gadad has demanded justice for graduates and job aspirants who may be affected by the direct recruitment process for the 104 vacant positions in various cadres of the Belagavi District Central Cooperative (BDCC) bank. He warned of legal action if alleged irregularities in the recruitment process are not addressed. Gadad said he has written to the co-operation minister, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), and Nabard, enclosing documents outlining his concerns. If written examinations are not conducted through the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), he will go to court, he warned and added that fixing a maximum age limit in the recruitment notification, has deprived a large number of job seekers of the opportunity to apply. Therefore a request has been made to cancel this notification. Marks of each candidate should be published on the websites, he demanded. He also alleged that few of the elected members are demanding Rs 50 to 60 lakh for recruiting a candidate. This has also been brought to the attention of the RBI and Nabard bank officials.
