Nagpur: Cops registered a case against a 40-year-old man for allegedly turning up naked at a woman’s house in Ajni and molesting her late at night. After the woman raised an alarm, the man fled the scene and tried to barge into another house.According to the complaint lodged by a 43-year-old homemaker residing within Ajni police station limits, the accused, Sonu Rajan Chaudhary, who lives in the same locality and is a habitual drunkard, knocked on her door around 11.30pm on Aug 7.When the woman opened the door, she found Chaudhary standing completely naked. The accused allegedly tried to grab her and demanded sex while using abusive language. The woman raised an alarm, prompting the accused to flee.Chaudhary then knocked on the door of another woman living in the same residential complex, but she refused to open it.The woman approached Ajni police and lodged a report on Saturday. Police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita dealing with outraging the modesty of a woman, criminal intimidation and related offences.Police have launched a manhunt for the accused. The incident has left the woman and other residents of the locality shaken, with neighbours expressing concern over the growing menace of drunkards in the area.
