The new 2026 Honda City facelift has already been launched, while the ZR-V hybrid SUV is set to arrive in a couple of months via the CBU (completely built unit) route in limited numbers.

Honda Electric SUV Could Be Next Launch

Honda 0 Alpha India Launch

The next launches from the Japanese automaker in India is likely to be the Honda 0 Alpha-based EV SUV, which is currently undergoing testing. It will be manufactured at Honda’s Tapukara facility in Rajasthan, with an allotted project investment of around Rs 1,200 crore.

The carmaker has confirmed that the electric SUV will be offered with two battery pack options designed to suit hot climate conditions. These LFP batteries are expected to range between 65kWh – 75kWh, and feature a single-motor, FWD (front-wheel drive) setup.

2026 Honda Elevate Hybrid?

Following the Honda 0 Alpha EV, the 2026 Honda Elevate facelift is expected to arrive in late 2026 or early 2027. The midsize SUV is likely to witness subtle cosmetic and feature upgrades, while retaining the existing petrol engine. Rumour has it that the company might introduce the Elevate facelift with a hybrid powertrain to target the mass-market. The carmaker might use the City e:HEV’s hybrid powertrain for the SUV.

Iconic Hondas Might Return To India

Honda is also reportedly planning to introduce some global models including the Accord, Civic and CR-V as CBU units in limited numbers. While the company hasn’t yet revealed further details, these models are expected to be brought in their hybrid versions.

Additionally, the Honda Prelude hybrid sportcar is also under evaluation for an India launch and could serve as a hole product for the brand. Globally, the model is available with a 200bhp, 2.0L hybrid powertrain, paired with FWD (front-wheel drive) system.
