NEW DELHI: A 32-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed to death, while her husband sustained serious injuries following a dispute over motorcycle parking in southwest Delhi’s Bindapur area, police said on Saturday. The incident came to light around 2.50pm when Bindapur Police Station received a call reporting that “two-three boys” had stabbed the caller’s daughter and son-in-law in the stomach, according to news agency PTI. Police rushed to the spot but found that the victims had already been taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Hospital. Doctors at the hospital declared the woman, identified as Aarti, brought dead, police said. Her husband, Vicky, who also suffered stab injuries, was later referred to Safdarjung Hospital for advanced treatment. During the preliminary investigation, police found that the couple had reportedly been involved in an argument with their neighbours over the parking of a motorcycle on the road. The dispute allegedly escalated, leading to the stabbing. Police identified the accused as Pappu (40) and a juvenile, both residents of the same locality. While Pappu has been detained, efforts are underway to trace the juvenile, police said.
