Maruti Suzuki aims to expand its Indian product portfolio from 18 to 28 models by 2030, with a strong focus on the SUV segment. In FY2026-27, the Indo-Japanese automaker is planning major updates for three of its highly popular SUVs including the Brezza, Grand Vitara and Fronx. While the 2026 Maruti Brezza and Grand Vitara facelifts are expected to arrive near around the Diwali season, the updated Maruti Fronx is likely to debut in 2027.

2026 Maruti Brezza Facelift

Spy shots suggest that the new Maruti Brezza will receive subtle design changes including revised bumpers, a slightly redesigned grille, newly-designed alloy wheels and a redesigned fog lamp assembly. Interior is expected to witness an introduction of a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless smartphone connectivity along with new upholstery and trims.

Under the hood, the new Maruti Brezza is likely to borrow the Fronx’s 1.0L turbo petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. This powertrain could either be exclusively on the higher trims or replace the existing 1.5L petrol engine altogether. The CNG version might get an underbody-mounted CNG tank configuration.

2026 Maruti Grand Vitara Facelift

Minimal cosmetic changes are expected for the new 2026 Maruti Grand Vitara facelift. The SUV might feature a revised grille, tweaked front and rear bumpers, new alloy wheels and updated LED lighting. Maruti Suzuki might equip the SUV with a larger touchscreen, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a Level-2 ADAS suite. Mechanically, the SUV is expected to remain unchanged.

New Maruti Fronx Hybrid

With its upcoming midlife update, the Maruti Fronx is likely to go hybrid. The compact crossover could become the first Maruti Suzuki model to debut the company’s in-house developed strong hybrid powertrain, which will be based on the 1.2L petrol engine. The new hybrid system will also be introduced in other mass-market Maruti Suzuki models including the next-gen Baleno, Swift and Brezza.

The 2026 Mauti Fronx could be offered with features such as Level 2 ADAS, ventilated seats and a larger touchscreen. Subtle design changes will make it look slightly refreshing.
