26 with 100 percentile in MHT-CET in PCM group’s first attempt
Students can apply for engineering, pharmacy and agriculture courses

Pune: Twenty-four boys and two girls secured 100 percentile in Maharashtra MHT CET 2026 physics-chemistry-mathematics in the first attempt. The results were announced on Monday by Maharashtra CET Cell. While 24 of the students are from Maharashtra, two are from other states.The 26 include three from Pune, Aryan Kunjir, Ibadur Baralaskar and Namish Kaushik. Pune students Nilesh Akoskar (99.96 percentile in SBC category) and Anushk Pramod Gawade (99.97 percentile in NT2 C category ) also topped categorywise.This is the first time, following the JEE Main examination model, the students were given two attempts for the MHT-CET. The CET Cell clarified that the higher percentile of the two will be considered for admission.As many as 4,54,069 students appeared for the examination for admission to the first year of professional courses in engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture for 2026-27. The candidates included 2,73,135 boys. 1,80,916 girls and 18 transgender students.The computer-based test was held across 186 centres in all 36 districts of Maharashtra over 16 sessions between April 11 and April 20.At the district level, the maximum number of 100 percentile students are from Nagpur, which produced four toppers, followed by Pune, Mumbai, Chandrapur, Thane and Gondia, with 3 students each. One student each was from Ahilyanagar, Dharashiv, Solapur, Latur, and Yavatmal and the remaining two were from Jabalpur and Kolkata.Students can now access their results through their individual logins, and the CET Cell in its official notification said that the Common Admission Process (CAP) will begin shortly.
