Ghaziabad: A 23-year-old man allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the 25th floor of a residential building in Landcraft Society under Kavi Nagar police station limits on Wednesday. It took police more than five hours to identify the body. The man did not live in the society, and his parents were informed after his identity was established.Police said the deceased, Arpan Goyal, was a resident of Panchawati in the Kotwali area and worked for a private company in Noida. He is survived by his parents, Mohit and Ruchi Goyal.ACP of Kavi Nagar, Siddharth Gautam said that around 9am on Wednesday, police received information through Dial 112 that a man had jumped from Tower 2A of the society and was seriously injured. The police reached the spot and rushed Arpan to the District Combined Hospital in Sanjay Nagar, where doctors declared him dead.He said CCTV footage from the society gate showed Arpan entering the premises. He had reportedly come to visit his friend Prakhar, who lives on the 14th floor of the same tower. When Prakhar told him he was not at home, Arpan was seen going alone to the 25th floor, from where he jumped over the side of the grill.No complaint has been received from the victim’s parents. The body has been sent for autopsy. Police recovered the victim’s mobile phone and sent it for forensic examination.
