2026 Maruti Fronx Facelift Closer to Launch, ADAS Expected

Following the launch of the new Brezza facelift, Maruti Suzuki is preparing to introduce the updated Fronx compact crossover with subtle changes inside and out. While its official launch details are yet to be announced, frequent sighting suggest that the new 2026 Maruti Fronx facelift is inching closer to its official debut. Multiple spy images and videos have already revealed the key changes that will be introduced on the new Fronx. Let’s take a look at them.

Revised Styling

The latest spy images suggest that the new Maruti Fronx 2026 will feature a newly-designed front grille with U-shaped elements. The turbo-petrol variants will get a gunmetal grey-coloured connecting element instead of the regular silver finish along with contrasting red accent in between. The front bumper will also be revised, featuring a sportier sliver skid plate. Other design highlights are expected to include newly-designed alloy wheels and a slightly tweaked rear.

ADAS & More Features

Several test mules of the new Fronx facelift have been spotted with a radar sensor positioned just below the Suzuki logo on the front end, hinting at the inclusion of an ADAS (advanced driver assistance) suite. The compact crossover is likely to offer Level 2 ADAS with features such as lane change assist, adaptive cruise control, emergency braking and more.

The interior of the 2026 Maruti Fronx facelift could recieve new upholstery and trims, ventilated front seats and a sunroof. Most of the existing features will be carried over including a wireless smartphone charger, HUD, Suzuki connected car tech, rear AC vents, height adjustable driver’s seat, cruise control, a 360-degree camera and more.

Same NA & Turbo Petrol Engines

Mechanically, the updated Fronx is expected to remain unchanged. The MY2026 model lineup will continue to be available with the existing 1.2L, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0L Boosterjet turbocharged petrol engine options. Transmissions will also be carried over from the pre-facelift version.

Strong Hybrid Powertrain in 2027?

According to reports, the Maruti Fronx hybrid variant will join the lineup in 2027. The compact crossover will mark the debut of Maruti Suzuki’s all-new in-house developed series strong hybrid powertrain, which will also power the brand’s popular mass-market models. Codenamed HEV, the strong hybrid system is expected to be high on fuel efficiency, delivering a mileage of up to 35kmpl.
