Kolkata: Two employees of a Gujarat-based trader were kidnapped by a gang of six armed men, robbed of Rs 42 lakh and then abandoned on the Kona Expressway in the first week of May. The complainant, Kamlesh Rajnikant Shah, 63, a resident of Gandhinagar arrived in Kolkata on Monday to report the crime at the Survey Park police station.Cops said the Kolkata-based suspects, contacted Shah under the guise businessmen. They negotiated a deal to dispatch goods to Gujarat, asserting the consignment would be shipped upon a payment of Rs 42 lakh. After receiving the money, the suspects forced the employees into a car at gunpoint and later pushed them out of the moving vehicle along the Kona Expressway. tnn
