Palanpur: Aravalli police have formed five teams to trace a 19-year-old woman, who was allegedly kidnapped by her father and three others from the house of her live-in partner in Vadgam village on Monday.After two years of courtship, the couple entered into a friendship agreement on March 11, but they started living with their respective families.According to the complaint lodged by her partner with Dhansura police station, her father was against their relationship, and he often threatened his family.A month ago, the couple signed a live-in relationship agreement and started living at the man’s house in Vadgam village.On June 22, the woman was sitting outside the paan shop owned by the complainant’s mother when her father and three others came in a car, forced her inside and fled. Her partner and his father went for farm work.CCTV footage of the incident shows the woman shouting for help and resisting as she was dragged into the car.The man’s mother, who witnessed the kidnapping, alerted the police.“We have lodged an offence of kidnapping against the woman’s father and three others. We have formed five teams to trace the woman and nab the accused using the vehicle number captured in the CCTV,” said Manoharsinh Jadeja, DSP, Aravalli.
