Samrat congratulates PM on record tenure

Patna: CM Samrat Choudhary on Tuesday congratulated Narendra Modi for becoming the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India’s history and credited his leadership for Bihar’s development and welfare initiatives.In a letter to the Prime Minister, Samrat said, “It gives me immense pleasure that today, you have set a new record in the nation’s history for the longest continuous tenure of public service as an elected Prime Minister of India. India has made significant strides, and Bihar has prospered during your golden 12-year tenure.”Modi has completed 4,398 days in office as an elected Prime Minister, surpassing Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s record of 4,397 consecutive days.Samrat said Bihar has benefited substantially from central schemes. “It is due to your visionary leadership that approximately 5 crore people in Bihar are covered under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Around 1 crore farming families are benefiting from the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, while nearly 8 crore people are receiving food support under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana,” he wrote.The CM also highlighted the Centre’s contribution to Bihar’s infrastructure and economic growth. Referring to the Prime Minister’s development package announced in 2015, he said major investments had been made in roads, bridges, healthcare and other sectors.Samrat cited projects such as the new terminal building at Patna airport, airports at Darbhanga and Purnia, the upcoming airport at Bihta, and the construction of a second All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Darbhanga. He also mentioned support for new medical colleges, flood control projects, industrial development, tourism and the proposed Makhana Board.“Today, India has emerged as a global example of self-reliance, innovation, the digital revolution, and good governance,” Samrat wrote.
