An Indian tech professional has shared how he landed a Rs 1.8 crore job offer in the UK while still based in India. His post has gone viral because he explained the full process in a simple, step-by-step way. He said he did not move abroad or depend on contacts. Instead, he focused on planning, preparation, and consistent effort over time.
He described it as a method-driven approach where every step was planned in advance. From choosing companies to preparing for interviews, he followed a fixed system that he built for himself. The aim, he said, was to prepare in a way that matched international hiring standards.
Built A Clear Job Target List
He began by searching for global job openings on platforms like LinkedIn Jobs, Indeed, and Levels.fyi. From there, he shortlisted around 30 companies that offered roles with visa sponsorship.
After that, he studied job descriptions in detail. He reviewed around 35 to 40 postings and noted the skills that appeared most often. Based on this, he built a preparation plan focused only on those key requirements instead of random learning.
Practised Like Global Interviews
He also focused on how interviews are handled outside India. He started practising structured answers, clear communication, and logical explanations. He said he learned to admit when he did not know something instead of guessing.
At the same time, he created a one-page resume designed for global roles. It focused more on impact and results rather than long job descriptions. He also took mock interviews to improve his performance before applying.
Applied With A Focused Approach
Once he felt ready, he started applying for roles carefully. He avoided mass applications and only applied to jobs that matched his skills.
He also made sure he applied quickly when new roles opened. He said the process worked because it was consistent and structured rather than random.
Eventually, he received a Rs 1.8 crore international offer from the UK while still in India. He added that he had earlier worked at several companies, including Uber, Zomato, Microsoft, and Amazon, before moving into the UK role in 2025.
