Nagpur: City student Aditya Somani achieved a perfect 100% score in the Maharashtra Technical Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET). Speaking to TOI, he shared that he began his preparation with a focus on NEET, while simultaneously appearing for other major entrance tests including JEE Main and MHT-CET.Describing his approach, Aditya said that he enjoys the process of competitive examinations rather than treating them as pressure-driven milestones. “Competitive exams are fun for me,” he remarked, highlighting his positive mindset towards rigorous academic preparation.Coming from a highly educated family, Aditya mentioned that both his parents are doctors, which has contributed to an academically driven environment at home. He also noted that his elder brother has previously secured AIR 1 in CLAT, adding to the family’s strong record of academic excellence. Aditya has set his sights on admission to AIIMS, which remains his primary aim. He explained that he dedicates nearly 12 hours daily to studies, with a strong emphasis on self-study, coaching guidance, and extensive test paper solving, which he believes plays a crucial role in competitive exam success.Reflecting on his NEET attempt, he said his first attempt went well and expressed confidence about performing even better in the re-exam. He credited consistent practice, disciplined preparation, and a structured study routine for his achievements so far, adding that he intends to continue on the same path to reach his medical career goals.
