In an exclusive interview with India Today, BJP spokesperson Nalin Kohli responds to this question and more on the show. He rejected the claims, citing the constitutional provisions that allow elected representatives to form a separate group or merge with another party if they have a two-thirds majority. He attributed the defections to legislators’ frustration with their own party leadership and a lack of development, while maintaining that there are no corruption allegations against the central government.
