What’s New

Hero Super Splendor Xtec 2.0 Launched

The new Super Splendor Xtec 2.0 is available in four striking colour options: Glossy Black, Candy Blazing Red, Matt Axis Grey, Matt Nexus Blue, and Matt Chestnut Brown. Some of these colour options may look quite similar to what is available for the Super Splendor Xtec, but the graphics are totally different, and brand new. The 125cc commuter now comes with features like a USB type-c charging port, hazard light switch, and a kill switch. Other than this, the bike now gets a silent starter that works with the auto stop/start tech (i3S tech) for silent operations. For the Xtec 2.0, Hero is claiming an overall mileage figure of 72kmpl (was 68kmpl for the normal Xtec variant), which is quite impressive.

What’s Unchanged

Hero Super Splendor Xtec 2.0 Launched

For 2026, the brand has kept the basic silhouette of the Super Splendor, for the Xtec 2.0, and it looks similar to the Xtec variant. It remains mechanically unchanged, uses the same steel tube frame as the Xtec variant, along with conventional telescopic fork, and twin rear shock absorbers. The bike runs on 18-inch alloy wheels, with an 80-section front and a 90-section rear tyre. For braking, it uses either a 130mm drum brake setup at both ends, or a 240mm disc at the front and a 130mm drum at rear, with CBS (combined braking system).

Other than this, the bike uses the same tried and tested 124.7cc air-cooled engine, making 10.7PS, 10.4Nm and paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike comes with an all-LED headlight, but gets halogen taillight and indicators. It uses an LCD console that supports smartphone connectivity for SMS/call alerts.

BikeDekho Says

The new Super Splendor Xtec 2.0 comes with new paint schemes, and refreshed graphics, along with some new features. All of this together, makes the Xtec 2.0 slightly better than the normal Xtec variant, that is only Rs 2,052 cheaper. In 2026, paying the extra money and getting the Xtec 2.0 makes sense, and if you don’t want to pay the extra money, you will still be able to get a Super Splendor, just with older graphics and features.
