Bokaro: The return chariot procession of Lord Jagannath, known as Bahuda Yatra, was held with devotion and religious fervour at Bokaro Steel City, drawing a huge number of devotees.After traditional rituals, the sacred idols of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra were placed on a decorated chariot.The customary ‘Chhera Panhara’ ritual preceded the procession. The yatra began at Ram Mandir, Sector-1, and passed Patharkatta Chowk, Gandhi Chowk and Bokaro General Hospital before reaching Jagannath Temple.“Such religious celebrations strengthen the bond of unity, harmony and community participation among residents,” said Sunil Kumar, a City Centre resident. Organisations offered water and refreshments.
