Yamaha has filed a design patent for the Yamaha Nmax 155 Tech MAX. The scooter is based on the Nmax 155 showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo. It gets more equipment than the standard Nmax 155 and will be positioned above the Aerox 155 in Yamaha’s India lineup.
What is the Nmax 155 Tech MAX

The Nmax 155 Tech MAX is already on sale in Europe. It gets a proper maxi-scooter design with a tall windscreen, all-LED lighting, and dual LED projector headlamps. It has a central spine with a centrally-mounted 7.1-litre fuel tank. It also gets a large seat with a 25-litre underseat storage compartment.

The scooter is powered by a 155cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine paired to a CVT gearbox, and makes 15.1PS and 14Nm.

The scooter gets a telescopic fork and twin preload-adjustable shocks at the rear. It rides on 13-inch wheels instead of the 14-inch wheels like the Aerox 155. The scooter also gets a disc brake at the front as well as on the rear, with single-channel ABS.

Feature-wise, it has two stacked displays. The top unit is an LCD instrument cluster, which displays the speed and range. Under it is a 4.5-inch colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts, as well as turn-by-turn navigation. The scooter also has a USB Type-A charging port along with keyless ignition.
BikeDekho Says

The Yamaha Nmax 155 Tech MAX will be a feature-loaded scooter. Upon its launch, it will be positioned above the Aerox 155 and will be the flagship maxi-scooter offering from Yamaha in India. Its main rivals would be the Hero Xoom 160 and the recently patented Honda ADV 160.
