Nagpur: Water treatment and distribution operations across the city were impacted after a major power failure at the Navegaon raw water pumping station following a fault at the Mansar substation of MSEDCL. The Navegaon Khairy Dam is the sole source of raw water supply to the Gorewada and Godhani water treatment plants. Raw water from this source feeds all four Pench water treatment plants — Pench I, Pench II, Pench III and Pench IV.Power outage has interuppted raw water pumping operations, affecting the availability of raw water to the treatment plants. Officials are closely coordinating with MSEDCL to restore power supply at the earliest. Once power is restored, pumping operations will resume and efforts will be made to stabilize water treatment and distribution systems as quickly as possible.Citizens experienced low water pressure or temporary disruption in water supply in some areas on Friday evening. If power supply is not restored by night, the morning water supply on June 13, 2026, may also be affected.
