Hyderabad: Stating the first half of the Congress govt’s rule in the state is a total `flop’, BRS working president KT Rama Rao said the govt failed in every sector and Rythu Bandhu has been turned into ‘Rahul Bandhu’, and said farmers were facing hardships with power cuts, lack of fertilisers and delays over crop procurement.Speaking at Vemulawada and Sircilla party workers meeting on Saturday, KTR accused the govt of thoroughly deceiving farmers in the name of “deductions,” and said farmers have once again been reduced to standing in long queues at fertiliser shops, like in the old days. He alleged that while farmers are suffering due to a shortage of gunny bags for paddy procurement, bags and bags of money were being sent to Rahul Gandhi. The BRS working president accused the BJP and Congress of trying to win through bogus votes, and asked the party workers to stay alert and identify and remove fake and duplicate votes. He suggested that a Census should be conducted once every ten years, in line with population growth. He urged every party worker to strive for a majority in their respective booths. He said there are 287 booths in Sircilla and that dedicated workers are needed everywhere. KTR expressed confidence that people are ready to defeat Congress and bring BRS to victory in the coming elections.
