The Yamaha Nmax 155 was showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo. The brand might have been gauging interest in the scooter until now. That seems to have a positive result as the maxi-scooter will be reportedly launched in India soon.
Powertrain
It is powered by the 155cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine paired with CVT gearbox, producing 15.4PS @ 8,000rpm and 14.4Nm @ 6,000rpm, similar to the Yamaha Aerox 155.

Underpinnings
Unlike the Aerox, the Yamaha Nmax 155 155 gets 13-inch wheels wrapped with a 110-section front and 130-section rear tyres. The scooter has a telescopic fork and preload-adjustable dual rear shocks. It has 230mm disc brakes at both ends, paired with dual-channel ABS. The scooter also has traction control.
Features
The Nmax gets all-LED lighting, Bluetooth connectivity, and an LCD cluster. It also features a USB charging port, keyless ignition, and auto stop-start tech. While the Aerox gets a 5.5-litre fuel tank, the Nmax gets a 7.1-litre fuel tank. It weighs 131kg (kerb) making it 5kg lighter than the Aerox.
Launch Date & Price
The Yamaha Nmax 155 is expected to be priced at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It could launch early next year, and rival other maxi-scooters like the Honda Xoom 160, and its own sibling, the Yamaha Aerox 155. Its other incoming rivals are the Honda ADV160 and the TVS’ 160cc maxi scooter.
