Times News NetworkKanpur: As many as 16430 out of 18336 examinees appeared in the UP Joint B. Ed Entrance Examination 2026 held at 19 centres across the city on Sunday.The examination was conducted at these centres in two shifts under CCTV surveillance. Each shift had around 9168 examinees. Around 9168 examinees were enrolled in each shift. In the first shift, 8,211 candidates were present, while 957 candidates skipped the examination. Meanwhile, in the second shift, 8,219 candidates took the exam, and 949 remained absent.This time, the Joint B.Ed. Entrance Examination was conducted by Bundelkhand University. The first shift was held from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift from 2 pm to 5 pm. The district administration had installed CCTV cameras at all 19 centres. The examination was monitored live from the control room.Sector magistrates appointed by the district magistrate, and the observers from Bundelkhand University, CSJMU nodal officer Rakesh Kumar Mishra, nodal coordinator BP. Singh, and Kanpur Nagar coordinator Neeraj Kumar conducted intensive inspections of all centres and continuously reviewed the arrangements.Shobhana Mishra, a candidate who emerged from the examination centre after taking the paper in the first shift, stated that the paper was moderate.Meanwhile, subject-specific questions were asked in the second shift.Another candidate Parul Katiyar remarked that the arrangements were excellent, and she faced no difficulties upon reaching the centre ahead of schedule. Most candidates described the paper as balanced.
