A viral video featuring BJP minister Sanjay Sharma scolding a police constable for using an air conditioner inside a vehicle during a scorching 46°C heatwave has triggered a massive debate online.
The video was originally shared by X user @Nher_who. In the clip, the minister can be heard confronting the constable and saying, “Bina AC ke nahi reh sakte, Modiji ne bola hai Diesel bachane ko, aap AC chala rahe ho?”

As the clip gained traction online, social media users flooded the comments section with criticism targeting the politician’s behaviour.
“Agar ye kaam, mere kaam nahi aayega to kaisa kaam” thought process of Sanjay before asking the cameraman to make the video,” wrote one user, suggesting the incident may have been staged for optics.
Another user mocked the situation by saying, “Vaha ,aaj to gajab bachat kar li ,chalo ab nikalte hai aapni AC gadi me or Ac office me ja ke bethate hai Jai hind,murkh bharat,Anpad neta”.
Criticism also emerged regarding the treatment of police personnel by political leaders. “Neta log police walo ko apna private naukar samajhte hai. Sharm ki baat ye hai ki policewale khud nhi apne aap ko politician ka naukar samajhte hai,” commented a third user.
Some users reacted humorously to people visible in the background of the clip. “Blue shirt wala uncle notes ese bana rha hai jese UPSE mein aana hai question,” another person joked.

Others accused the minister of displaying an elitist attitude. “”Aap baithe ho officer ki tarah andar AC chala ke” … Clearly shows his elitist mindset,” one comment read.
The extreme weather conditions also became a major talking point among users online. “The country so fucked up that using AC in 46 deg deadly temperature is considered as luxury in 2026 ,” another user wrote.
One user highlighted the alleged contradiction between the leader’s statement and the lifestyle of politicians, saying, “After this, that mantri mostly went back in his exclusive AC car with his tamjham of long car queue (by saving petrol)”.
Another social media user dismissed the confrontation as political theatrics and commented, “Drama kar raha hai, do minute bahar khada raha paseena nikal aaya iska. Tamasha chal raha hai,”
