Davanagere: Harihar Rural police submit a petition to the Davanagere district sessions court seeking cancellation of the anticipatory bail granted to Vachanananda Swami of Panchamasali Mutt, Harihara, in relation to a Pocso case.Police submitted a report on the matter to the court in a sealed envelope. If the anticipatory bail was cancelled, he could be arrested at any moment. Swami obtained anticipatory bail before the case was filed, alleging a conspiracy to register a Pocso case against him.Harihar Rural station PI and investigating officer Suresh Sagari said, “A Pocso case has been registered against Vachanananda Swami. We have petitioned the court to cancel the anticipatory bail. He is scheduled to appear at the station again for questioning on May 25,” he informed.
