A Noida woman’s viral video alleging that naked men chased her auto-rickshaw in broad daylight has reignited concerns over women’s safety

A disturbing incident reported from Noida has gone viral online after a woman claimed that she and two other women were chased by a car carrying three men while travelling in an auto-rickshaw during the day.
According to her, two of the men were allegedly naked and attempted to intimidate them by repeatedly overtaking and blocking their vehicle on the road.
The woman shared her ordeal in a now-viral video posted on Instagram by a user identified as Deepika. In the clip, she recalled how the frightening incident unfolded while the three women were travelling a short distance in Noida during the afternoon.
“What will you do if a car filled with three men, out of which two are naked, is chasing your auto? That is exactly what happened to us in Noida, where in broad daylight we were going from one place to another, which was just 10 minutes away,” she said in the video.
Describing the area, she mentioned that the route had both isolated stretches and crowded commercial zones with several offices nearby. According to her, the incident began shortly after they left the area when the occupants of a car allegedly started following their auto-rickshaw aggressively.
She further claimed that the men attempted to overtake the auto multiple times and allegedly tried to corner or destabilise the vehicle. “And we obviously got startled and wondered what was happening.
The moment we checked, we saw that one guy was completely naked and lying on the passenger seat with his legs up on the dashboard, and they were grinning,” she said.
The woman added that another man was seated in the backseat, though his face was not clearly visible. She alleged that the car occupants continued driving recklessly around the auto, causing panic among the passengers.
“Then the guy brought the car in front of the auto and stopped it there. All three of us were women, and all three of us were terrified. All we could think of was saving ourselves,” she stated.
In the concluding part of her video, the woman urged women working in Noida to remain cautious and aware of their surroundings. “I am just making this video to tell you that if you are a woman working in Noida, please take care of your safety. It is not safe at 2 in the morning and it is not safe at 2 in the afternoon,” she said.
The video quickly gained traction online, with several users expressing outrage, fear, and frustration over recurring concerns surrounding women’s safety.
“Did you record the incident or at least file a police complaint? If not, you should do so. These guys will continue their behavior if the police do not stop them,” said one user.
“That’s very good she is spreading awareness, but what exactly happened later she is not telling that, how could one trust without knowing the whole story,” another user commented.
Many women also shared their own experiences in response to the video. “Agree or not, we feel eve teasing almost every single day! Maybe just by creepy ghurna to comment karna to inappropriately touch karna. I am done!” a third user wrote.
Another user expressed shock over the alleged incident and praised the woman for speaking publicly about it. “I am so terribly aghast and at a loss of words that you had to live that experience. Thank you so much for sharing, despite it being deeply uncomfortable. Why were those men so comfy being naked with each other,” the comment read.
“I am so sorry that something so scary has happened to you. India needs to be better with safety and more than that, the men need to do better. It’s 2026, and men are still harassing women just for fun! They need to be held accountable,” another person wrote.
“It’s really sad what women have to go through. I don’t know what will it take for us to feel safe,” another comment stated.
One user also claimed to have faced a similar experience in the same region. “It happened with me but the men were not naked.. between sector 126 to sec 137,” the user wrote.
“This is so damn scary, harrassing that too in broad daylight. I stay and work in Noida. Such a relief you are safe. Please also mention the area, might save someone else from the same men,” another user added.
