At the rear, the test mule appears to feature connected LED taillamps, a sporty bumper, reflectors and a shark-fin antenna. The new Maruti electric MPV is likely to be built on the Heartect-e platform that also underpins the eVitara. Dimensionally, it expected to measure around 4.5 metres in length.

Expected Features
The cabin layout and features of the Maruti YMC are expected to be similar to the eVitara. Maruti Suzuki might equip the MPV with features such as a panoramic sunroof, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, wireless phone charger, rear parking camera, multiple airbags, front and rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system and more.
Battery Pack Options
While the official powertrain specifications of the new Maruti electric MPV are yet to be revealed, the MPV is likely to borrow the 49kWh and 61kWh battery packs from the eVitara. The smaller battery pack comes paired with a front-axle mounted electric motor, generating power worth 144bhp and 193Nm of torque. The larger 61kWh battery pack is paired with a more powerful 174bhp/193Nm electric motor.
Range & Drivetrain System
The eVitara is claimed to offer a driving range of 440km with 49kWh battery and 543km with 61kWh battery pack. The upcoming Maruti YMC is expected to deliver range over 500km per charge. While the Maruti eVitara comes with FWD (front-wheel drive) setup, the MPV is expected to feature a RWD (rear-wheel drive) system.
Production Details
The new Maruti YMC will be manufactured at Maruti Suzuki’s Hansalpur facility in Gujarat alongside the eVitara. This manufacturing plant also serves as a production hub for export markets including Europe and Japan.
