Kalyan: Police have arrested a 21-year-old man and detained two juveniles for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl in Dombivli after luring her on the pretext of providing her a job and accommodation.The two juveniles, aged 16 and 17, have been sent to an observation home in Bhiwandi following orders of the Juvenile Justice Board.According to Manpada police, the incident came to light on Thursday after the girl disclosed during questioning that three youths had sexually assaulted her in Umbharli village.Police said the girl had left her home on Wednesday evening after an argument with her family. While wandering near Om Sai Hotel at Khoni Phata in Dombivli East, she met Angur Thakur (21) and the two juvenile boys.The accused allegedly promised to help her find work and arrange accommodation. They took her to an isolated open area in Umbharli village, where they allegedly threatened and sexually assaulted her, the police said.Based on her complaint, Manpada police registered an FIR under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and apprehended the three accused.
